Rattling stabilizers are the most common complaint among mechanical keyboard users, but they are completely fixable with proper tuning. The goal is a stabilizer that moves smoothly without any wire rattle, housing rattle, or ticking. Start with high-quality stabilizers: Durock V2, C3 Equalizers, or TX AP are community favorites. The band-aid (Holee) mod wraps the stabilizer wire insertion points with a rubber band to reduce impact noise. Krytox 205g0 on the stabilizer housing rails and dielectric grease in the wire holes ensures smooth travel. Wire balancing is critical: even a 0.5mm imbalance causes ticking. Test each stabilizer by pressing off-center before final assembly.
